Reunion of veterans of the battalion 13 years 1966-1971

When we started the “journey” to prepare this meeting, we had minor expectations for the participation of the members in the meeting, to our joy we were greatly disappointed. And when this update message was distributed, over 140 members registered and announced their participation in the meeting, and it is estimated that many more will come who did not notify in writing, therefore it is estimated that over 200 members will come.

Therefore, we decided on a change in organization, we rented chairs, an amplification system, and several tables to be placed there. In addition, we harnessed the association of veterans of the 13th Battalion, which will mark the area with flags and place a registration point for the association, as well as a sales stand for souvenirs with the battalion’s symbols (hats, shirts, mugs, car stickers, etc.).

Since the scope of the meeting reached dimensions beyond what was expected and for the purpose of organizing we had to rent equipment, we will ask the members for a donation to the organization of NIS 30, and whoever donates more will be blessed. As long as there is any amount left, the money will be transferred to the 13th Battalion Association, for the improvement and maintenance of the Gilead at the Customs House.

 

We will add and emphasize that the date and place of the meeting remained unchanged:

The meeting will take place on:   Thursday 11/10/2018 starting at 5:30 p.m. and scheduled to end at: 2100

 

Meeting place: Yehoshua Park in Tel Aviv , (near the train station of the university in Tel Aviv). Exact location in the park, next to the pedestrian bridge to the west of Ayalon lanes near the building “Council House for Israel Yaffe”.

We will place a number of tables, provide bottles of water, and perhaps a light treat in the form of pastries and some fruit.

We ask the members who come, each one according to his ability, to bring pastries or fruits which we will place on the tables for the refreshments of the members.

 

Conference program : There will be no lecturers, lectures, presentations and singers. The plan is you and you. We may not be able to avoid a few blessings… Yoali Or – chairman of the association for the 13th battalion.

 

Schedule:

17:30 – 19:30    Gathering and meeting friends Free conversations between members.

19:30-20:10     A number of heritage stories from the service period that will be told by those involved.

20:10-21:00     Continue free calls.

Directions and parking – we will try to mark the directions to the event location.

1. Train: get off at the university station in Tel Aviv, a short walk, exit to Sderot Rokah and walk west about 200 meters.
2. Public transportation: all bus lines that reach the exhibition grounds, the fair center.
3. Private car: For those arriving by private car, there is paid parking on site.

Please note that you must come from west to east, from the direction of Nemir Road to enter Rokah Boulevard, immediately after entering Rokah Boulevard (about 100 meters from the intersection) there is  Entrance to the parking lot directed to Golfitech. Drive eastward in the parking lot for about 200 meters to the meeting place. Type in “Wiz” “The Council House for Israel is beautiful”.
