Pomeranz Daniel

Ben Verda and Avi. Daniel was born on the 27th day of Elul 1993 (13.9.1993) in Yavne. Fourth child for his parents, younger brother of Elad, Lior and Nimrod.

On March 11, 2013, Daniel enlisted in the IDF. He served as a f combatant in the Golani Brigade.

In June 2014, rocket fire from the Gaza Strip into Israel increased, and as a result, Israel embarked on Operation “Tzuk Eitan”  against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The operation began on July 8, 2014, with aerial bombardment, and nine days later army units began entering the Gaza Strip to deal with the firing points and terrorist tunnels, missions that were carried out until the end of the operation at the end of August.

Daniel fell in the battle in Shuja’iya during the “Tzuk Eitan” operation on the 22nd of Tammuz 5744 (July 20, 2014). First Sergeant Oren Simcha Noah, First Sergeant Oron Shaul, First Sergeant Shahar Tasha, Sergeant Ben Yitzhak and Anuno, Sergeant Shawn Mundschein and Sergeant Max Donald Steinberg fell with him.

Daniel was twenty-one years old when he fell. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Kfar Azar, the settlement where he lived. He left parents and three brothes.

Daniel was promoted after his fall to the rank of First Sergeant.
